About the Author

Harry Steven (Steve) Ackley was born and raised in Woodland, California. He is a graduate of Cabrillo College, Bethany Bible College, and San Francisco State University where he received an MA in education. Steve currently works as a science writer for the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).

Steve makes his home in Winters, California where he enjoys spending time with his wife Natasha and their two dogs, Muddy Waters and Ruby My Dear. Steve also plays in various musical groups and enjoys working in his garden.

Steve’s first book, Our Lady of West 74th Street, was published in the fall of 2014. Steve’s second novel, The Prophet of Shattuck Avenue was released in June of 2017. His third novel, The Saint of El Camino Real, was released in September of 2021.
